WHERE?
Most of the time, sessions will take place where you and your child spend your time. This may be at home (either face to face or teletherapy), out and about, or preschool/school. This is to ensure what you/your child learn, is useful and practical across all environments.
A travel fee is charged and will be discussed with you.
HOW IT WORKS?
STEP 1:
CONSULTATION
At the initial consultation (usually 1 hour) we discuss your concerns, take a detailed case history, observe your child and decide together the best next steps.
Sometimes, step 2 and 3 might not be needed and a Therapy Programme, for you to carry out at home, can be provided.
STEP 2:
ASSESSMENT
Depending on your concerns, an observation and/or assessment maybe required to further evaluate your child's communication or feeding skills, this will help to identify your goal and therapy plan.
STEP 3:
THERAPY
In therapy, we begin to work towards your child's goal. Here you will attend regular therapy sessions that last for 30, 45 or 60 minutes and carry out home practice in between.
